Passion
The two things that make me who I am are my curiosity and my stubbornly competitive nature. I'm the cat that curiosity killed and I'm only still here because I had nine lives. When I was younger, I thought I'd have to settle for being a lawyer or detective who was good with computers, but when I discovered Cybersecurity, I was instantly captivated by the combination of all my interests in one place. Cyber is one of the few spaces you'll never be stagnant or get complacent. There's a certain rush that comes with Risk management and incident response that you can't get elsewhere. My competitive nature also contributes to my love of cybersecurity: I love finding new ways to solve problems and I love being 10 steps ahead of threat actors.
Strengths
As a hands-on learner with a security-calibrated mindset and a computer science background, I excel at applying my security knowledge along with software development and Machine Learning concepts. I also really enjoy public speaking and being handed difficult problems; I find an unusual amount of satisfaction in being pushed outside of my comfort zone. I'm very self-driven when it comes to learning, developing technical skills, and communicating. I'm a great addition to any workspace because I was made to collaborate and function as part of a team.
Interests
I enjoy art in all forms and being creative, and when I say all forms, I'm including music, sports, animation, literature, etc. I can be interested in anything that tells a story; that leaves me with a massive collection of interests and niches. One positive to enjoying so many different things is my perspective stays adaptable and I can pull inspiration from so many mediums. This enables me to develop tools, react to threats, and predict vulnerabilities in unique ways others don't.
